Design Engineer

Job content & responsibilities
• You make the designs and strength calculations for the products that Ellimetal manufactures
• These calculations are based on detailed customer data sheets with accompanying specifications and international standards and norms
• You use various design programs
Your profile
• Master (Industrial Engineering, Applied Science, Civil, Mechanical,…), or have equivalent experience
• You are driven by technology and have an affinity with metal
• You have a strong technical insight and your work is accurate
• You are prepared to go along with new developments in engineering. You take initiative and come up with new proposals for improvement
• You are interested in the strength calculation of complex pressure equipment, storage tanks, heat exchangers and silos
• Knowledge of international design codes (ASME VIII, AD2000, EN 13445, EN1991 and others) is a plus
• You work fluently with the common software (Excel, Word, Mathcad)
• Preferably you already have some experience in a similar position
• Preferably you have experience with FEM
• You show perseverance to meet deadlines
• You can work independently as well as in a team
• The ideal candidate can express himself fluently in Dutch, English, German (and French)
